Chances are that if you found clovio then our Online Marketer, Zsófia, was instrumental in making it happen. With her PPC expertise, social media smarts, and an ever-expanding knowledge of all the latest marketing trends, Zsófia really makes clovio click. Of course, there’s much more to her than moving us up the rankings. She’s a writer, constant self-improver, and, most importantly, spends her time looking after her cat Teofil…
What is your role in the clovio team?
I’m an Online Marketer in the company. This role involves taking care of the PPC campaigns, improving site usage metrics, doing keyword research, publishing social media posts, link building and so much more. 🙂
How did you get into online marketing?
I applied for a copywriter job when I was in college. Luckily, I got hired and started working for an SEO agency. However, search engine optimization wasn’t a well-known field in Hungary back in those days. Typically, people had no idea what my job title meant. 🙂
A few years later I started working together with a friend of mine who is a PPC specialist. She taught me how to deal with Google Ads and Facebook Ads, so I had a chance to get to know the world of the pay-per-click marketing as well.
What do you consider the most important aspect of your role with clovio?
Maybe the most important aspect of my role is that I can make campaigns more efficient. With this kind of optimization, our results are better. I also play an important role in link building and email marketing.
What does your ideal work setup look like?
I prefer working in my room, but if I have a meeting, I go to the kitchen with my laptop. A cup of green tea or coffee always has to be nearby. I often listen to music, because it helps me concentrate on my work. I typically choose instrumental or classical music, because that way I’m not getting into the songs too much. I often have my cat nearby who likes sitting on my lap.
What do you like to do in your spare time and on weekends?
I’m a fan of self-improvement, so I prefer learning something new in my spare time. I read an article or watch a video about online marketing every day. Since my major at university was German, I often learn new words. I’ve also studied family therapy, so I like learning about human relationships in my spare time.
If I want to relax, I usually cook meals or just read a book. I have a passion for writing, so I like creating articles. I also visit my parents every second weekend and regularly go out with my friends to party together – taking care of cats is also a hobby of mine.
How do you stay up-to-date with the latest novelties in digital marketing?
I regularly check the best Hungarian blogs about digital marketing, my favorite is The Pitch. I also like the Modern Marketing Show with Adam Erhart on YouTube. The videos on the Surfside PPC channel are very practical, so I think it’s worth watching them as well.
What advice do you have for those who want to work in online marketing?
The world of digital marketing is changing at a very fast pace, so if someone wants to work as an online marketer, they always have to be on top of their game. Studying digital marketing never really ends.
I think there are great online courses out there, so nowadays anyone can start learning marketing! Blog articles and videos created by professionals can also provide help. It’s definitely worth having your own website to put theory into practice.
